Welcome to Habitat for Humanity of Sarasota, Inc.

Habitat for Humanity of Sarasota, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization located in Sarasota, Florida on the southwestern coast of the state of Florida in the United States. Its current official limits include Sarasota Bay and several barrier islands between the bay and the Gulf of Mexico. These islands separating Sarasota Bay from the gulf near the city, known as keys, include Lido Key and Siesta Key, which are famous worldwide for the quality of their beaches.

In Sarasota and across the country, the cost of housing is increasing faster than wages and our low- income service and blue collar workers are unable to find housing within their means. The impact on the economy is a scarcity of workers to fill jobs. Without an available workforce, businesses will not stay or be attracted to the area. Our economic sustainability requires that Sarasota attracts and retains a wide range of ages, nationalities and lifestyles. This diversity will promote a multifaceted economy that will attract national and international visitors, residents and businesses.
