The primary mission of Habitat for Humanity remains new-home construction.
Volunteers are the key to the Habitat new home. There are many specific skills utilized as well as a multitude of general help. Your involvement will result in a lifetime of memories for deserving Habitat families. Working side by side with owners and other volunteers is very rewarding and can only be experienced by coming to our construction sites on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 7:30 a.m.

Jordan's Crossing
Habitat’s most recently completed neighborhood is Jordan’s Crossing, across from Tuttle Elementary School on 8th Street. Jordan’s Crossing contains 79 single family homes.

Central Avenue - In Progress
Our newest neighborhood is on Central avenue. between 20th and 21st Streets. These homes are being constructed with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability. In 2008 and 2009, the Central Ave. homes were awarded 2 Aurora Awards and 2 Grand Aurora Awards from the Florida Home Builders Association. The seven “green homes” have many environment friendly features including solar roof panels, longer lasting construction materials and a roof and wall systems that lower the owner’s utilities costs by 58%.
