Jordan's Crossing - Near Completion

Our current Habitat Community project began four years ago. This is a planned community with 75 homes which was built in four different phases. We are currently in the final phase with only seven homes left to complete. Thanks to the dedication of volunteers and staff who construct these houses, we are able to provide decent homes for families in need. This community is located at 8th street just east of Tuttle Avenue.

75-condominium unit, mixed-income community developed by Habitat Sarasota in partnership with Lion’s Gate Development and The Proscenium. Located between

Lemon Avenue and Central Avenue in the Rosemary District.

Leonard Reid - Future Work Site

Up to 195 homes “green built” on 15 acres of assembled property bordered by

Martin Luther King Way, 32nd Street, Leonard Reid Avenue and Newtown Estates.

Mixed-income, multifamily community built in partnership with Goodwill Manasota’s GoodHomes Program. There will be an on-site Children First early childhood education center.

Puppy Park - Future Work Site

Proposed 230-townhome, master-planned community by Carl Abbott FAIA Architect / Planner PA on 16.5-acre site located next to the Sarasota Kennel Club off DeSoto Road. On-site community center with early childhood education center provided by Children First.

Public Housing Redevelopment - On-going

Approximately 100 homes to be built by Habitat Sarasota throughout Newtown with a partnership with Michael’s Development Corporation, the developer of the Sarasota Public Housing Redevelopment Project.

The primary mission of Habitat for Humanity remains new-home construction.

Volunteers are the key to the Habitat new home. There are many specific skills utilized as well as a multitude of general help. Your involvement will result in a lifetime of memories for deserving Habitat families. Working side by side with owners and other volunteers is very rewarding and can only be experienced by coming to our construction sites on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 7:30 a.m.
