Since 2007 Snyder has worked as a Housing and Community Development Consultant. She served as Housing and Community Development Manager for the Laurel Civic Association from 1999-2007. Her achievements include getting the Laurel Civic Association certified as a Community Housing Organization (CHDO) by the State of Florida.
She was also instrumental in the establishment of more than 50 community development and affordable housing projects that included roads, land acquisitions, demolition, rehabilitation and new construction.
Snyder attended the University of Kentucky and is a certified U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grant writer. She received certification in Laws and Practices of Real Estate and Real Estate Contract Law from Manatee Community College in 2008, and holds credentials or has had specialized training in the areas of finance, accounting, management, diversity and professional fundraising.
