Habitat Sarasota Carpenters' Club is a giving membership campaign that engages individuals, families and businesses who wish to provide ongoing financial support to sustain affordable housing in Sarasota through Habitat Sarasota’s work.

How will the Carpenters' Club Help?

Each year, with the help of our supporters, Habitat Sarasota is able to provide more decent, affordable homes for low-income families. By becoming a member of our Carpenters' Club, you make our growth possible by providing a predictable, constant stream of funds. Habitat for Humanity Sarasota, Inc. founded in 1985, is an independent, locally-run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International and has built over 181 new homes since its inception.

How does the Carpenters' Club work?

As a member of the Carpenters' Club, you make an ongoing

commitment to Habitat Sarasota through an annual contribution.

Members receive:

Join our Carpenters' Club Now!

The first will be seven single family homes on Central Avenue between 20th & 21st Street.

The second will be five single family homes on 24th Street.

The third will be 175 units of mixed income housing including a day care center at the Villages at Leonard Reid.

The fourth with be 75 units on Cohen Way.

Completed houses are sold to any qualified homebuyer at zero interest loans. Candidates go through Habitat’s mortgage process.

Once qualified, a down payment of $1,650 and the completion of 29 Hours of homeowner education classes and 300-500 hours of “sweat equity” on their own Habitat home and a neighbor’s Habitat home must be fulfilled.

Habitat provides capital, not charity. It also provides a stable environment for children, safe and communal neighborhoods that work and grow together.

SARASOTA PROGRAM

In 2008 Habitat for Humanity Sarasota, Inc. introduced new Mediterranean designed homes, built with green panel technology. A Home Front product design, these homes will provide a safer, longer lasting and more economical answer to affordable housing.
